I write and illustrate picture books for Bloomsbury and Simon & Schuster, as well as illustrating for Puffin, Egmont, Scholastic and OUP. I have also written and illustrated a middle grade novel for OUP and I’m about to start another. My last picture book, “The Story Machine”, got long-listed for the Greenaway medal. I’ve been trained by the National Literacy Trust in events as well gained experience at Edinburgh Book Festival and Cardiff Literary Festival.
In my events I do readings and talk about my experiences of being a dyslexic author, which I know teachers have told me is really useful for children to hear, especially boys. There’s also lots of live drawing and laughter!
What I’m looking to do is charge £250 for a morning sessions (two 1 hr sessions) or £350 for a whole day (three 1 hr sessions). The ages I’m used to working with are 4 up to 10/11, covering the entirety of Keys Stages 1 and 2.
